CST Partner, AIANTA, hosted their annual American Indian Tourism Conference


Center for Sustainable Tourism partner, American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association (AIANTA), hosted their annual American Indian Tourism Conference at the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort on the Fort McDowell in Fort McDowell AZ October 25-28. Dr. Kathleen Andereck and Sustainable Tourism Master Degree Student and Eagle Dancer Benjamin Rupert (Duck Valley Shoshone Paiute and Washoe) presented a session on Sustainable Tourism. Alumni Dawn Melvin (Navajo and Hopi/Tewa), Tribal Tourism Relations Manager for the Arizona Office of Tourism, and Sarah Leonard, President and CEO of the Alaska Travel Industry Association, presented in a session on 'How to Work with your State Tourism Office'.
