ASU Professor: Long-Distance Summer Travel Not Possible Right Now

May 22, 2020 - In a recent interview with KJZZ radio station, CST Director Christine Vogt shared her opinions about the prospects for travel this summer and in the near future. According to her, the most common trips will occur a short distance from home using personal vehicles. Some travelers will look for staycation deals at hotels/resorts that have their properties cleaned to ensure health safety. While family vacations will be popular, travelers will also go on solo trips. People will feel more confident to travel when we understand the virus better and get it under control, even before a vaccine is developed. In the meantime, the travel industry is getting people to plan and dream about future trips.
