Members of the TSA and Omni Tempe

The Tourism Student Association (TSA) at Arizona State University recently organized its Fall Kick Off event at the Omni Tempe Hotel ASU, creating a memorable evening marked by collaboration and camaraderie. This event presented the perfect opportunity for students to explore the newly opened hotel, and the Omni Tempe Hotel ASU team played a pivotal role in ensuring its success.

The event began with warm greetings and a gracious welcome from the Omni Tempe Hotel ASU team. Students who previously had never set foot on the property were immediately struck by the hospitality and dedication of the staff. The Omni team's collaborative spirit was outstanding, and their commitment to ensuring the event's success was evident from the start.

Todd Gagnon, Omni Tempe Hotel ASU General Manager, engaged in meaningful group and one-on-one conversations with TSA members, providing valuable insights into the world of hospitality and tourism. It was apparent that the Omni staff members were passionate about mentoring and sharing their expertise with the next generation of industry professionals.

One of the evening's highlights was the meticulously planned property tour. A senior-level Omni staff member from each department (HR, events, catering, procurement, etc.) served as a group leader and contributed their keen attention to detail, ensuring that students gained a comprehensive and insightful look at the Omni Tempe Hotel ASU. The tour enabled students to appreciate the hotel's design, amenities and the exceptional guest experience it offers.

Along with delicious catering, the Omni team fostered a networking atmosphere that allowed TSA members to connect seamlessly with both Omni's leadership and each other. These interactions provided valuable industry insights, fostered new friendships and sparked inspiring conversations about the future of tourism and hospitality.

Dana Rowitz, Omni Sales Manager and a recent ASU School of Community Resources and Development and TSA alum, played an invaluable role in the event's success. Her contribution and commitment to excellence were greatly appreciated by all, and her presence added a sense of pride to the collaboration between ASU, TS and the Omni Tempe Hotel ASU team.

In conclusion, the Tourism Student Association at ASU looks forward to a continued partnership with the Omni Tempe Hotel ASU and extends gratitude to the team for hosting the TSA's Fall Kick Off event. This partnership exemplified the spirit of collaboration and mentorship vital in preparing students for success in the tourism and hospitality industry. The Omni team's dedication to excellence left a lasting impression on all attendees, and TSA eagerly anticipates future collaborations that will continue to enrich the educational experiences of its members.

As this successful event is celebrated, it serves as a reminder of the potential that emerges when industry professionals and students join forces to inspire and learn from one another.
