Tourism Student Association Debuts Fall Lineup

TSA members visit the Grand Canyon

Leaders from the Tourism Student Association at ASU have been working hard all summer to secure an all-star lineup of educational and social events, career development, fundraisers and an out-of-town trip because, of course, that's what tourism students do.

Led by President Eleanor Brillo and a wonderful supporting cast of officers, the TSA's fall programming promises to be a meaningful one. Check out the full calendar of events, tailored to both ground and online students, on our website. In the meantime, here are a few of the highlights:

  • TSA Kickoff Event - Omni Style. The newest hotel on Mill Avenue has already embraced our students with open arms, hiring many to support their exciting offerings. Students will be treated to a tour and reception.
  • Tourism and Events Career Fair Prep. Students will get a leg up as they learn how they should be preparing for the upcoming Career Fair.
  • Fall Trip to Lake Pleasant. This day trip will include a discussion with park operators, kayaking/paddleboarding, lunch and a cruise.
  • Día de los Muertos. Students will learn what it takes for organizers to plan and execute this exciting community-based cultural festival.
  • Fall Fireside. This longstanding tradition will welcome travel, food and lifestyle writer Mer Norwood as students hear her tales of adventure and learn to tell their own while nestled near the warm fire.
  • NASCAR Fundraiser. TSA members will rally together to volunteer their time at this mega-event, scanning tickets and welcoming guests in an effort to raise funds for club events.

Membership is open to all. Tourism-curious students pay modest dues ($20 ground, $10 online) each semester and are eligible to attend all of these great events.
