Students gain experience and connections at the Arizona Parks & Recreation Association Conference

ASU students in a group at the APRA conference.

ASU School of Community Resources and Development students Katlyn Skabelund, Amy Mitchell, Marissa Kimari, Joseph Wise and Young Su Choi attended the Arizona Parks & Recreation Association (APRA) 2024 Conference in August. Throughout the event, they participated in individual sessions, leadership workshops and networking events, gaining valuable insights from professionals across Arizona. Sponsored to explore career opportunities in parks and recreation, these students embraced the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and skills. As future leaders in the field, they were grateful for the guidance and professional development offered. ASU looks forward to having a strong presence at the next APRA conference, which will be held in Phoenix in 2025.
