Prior to becoming director of Arizona State Parks and Trails, Broscheid was a biologist, Habitat Branch Chief and Deputy Director of the Arizona Game and Fish Department, and Executive Director of Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

He enjoys hunting, fishing, backpacking, mountain biking and golf. Most weekends, Bob and his wife Dana are having fun discovering all of Arizona's outdoor opportunities. Bob was appointed director of Arizona State Parks and Trails in February 2019.

Starting as Executive Director from March 2004 to February 2010, Libby Corral advanced through various roles, including Senior Executive Director and Vice President, ultimately serving as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations since February 2011. This progressive career trajectory demonstrates a strong commitment to organizational growth and community impact.

Lane works for the Town of Gilbert Parks and Recreation Department where she oversees the operations of the Recreation Division including recreation centers, the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch, libraries, Cactus Yards and Park Rangers.

She oversees several teams, including youth and teen programming, volunteers, adaptive and inclusive recreation, and special events.

Lane also facilitates courses at ASU as a Faculty Associate, using her knowledge of inclusive community development.

LaZear has handled responsibilities as lead therapeutic recreational therapist at the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.

LaZear earned a master’s of Business Administration, with an emphasis in Health Systems Management, from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from California State University Northridge.

She brings over 13 years of experience creating and activating marketing strategies, initiatives and special events for corporate partners of professional sports teams and mega sporting events in the Phoenix market.

With a steadfast interest in the development of people and communities through sports and education, and a commitment to constant learning, Evan strives to drive innovation and growth in local communities. He is always on the lookout for new opportunities that allow him to bring his skills and expertise to new challenges and exciting projects.

This deep commitment to community building is rooted in a profound personal catalyst. In May 2017, Kainoa survived necrotizing fasciitis against a less than one percent survival rate. Emerging from a medically induced coma as a quadruple amputee, his recovery was fueled by the Live Like Kainoa movement. This massive mobilization of local support showed him the lifesaving power of a united community. That firsthand experience of grassroots support drove him directly into a career focused on ensuring others have access to similar safety nets.

Wanting to understand how to build these support systems at scale, Kainoa earned his Bachelor of Arts in Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership from Arizona State University in 2021. He immediately put this foundation into practice as a Service and Volunteerism Specialist for the Arizona Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family, where he spent over two years. There, he directed the Governor's Youth Commission, mentoring over 50 student leaders annually and mobilizing more than 40,000 hours of volunteer service led by youth statewide. His commitment to community extends outside of his professional roles through his active volunteer leadership with One in Ten and as a Dismissal Leader at the Franciscan Renewal Center.

Kainoa aims to serve as a Development Leader, work within a nonprofit consulting firm, and advise nonprofit boards. Ultimately, he plans to help lead major organizations focused on the community by relying heavily on authentic grassroots engagement rather than standard boardroom governance.

After graduating from Arizona State University (ASU) with a Bachelor of Science in Communication, Christina joined notMYkid, a local nonprofit organization, as the director of the Clear Choices program. Clear Choices engaged teens in discussions about issues such as drug and alcohol use, body image disorders, and depression.

Christina earned a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from ASU in 2008. Shortly after that, she joined the staff of Teach For America-Phoenix as the Manager of Corporation and Foundation Relations and was later promoted to Managing Director of Development. She managed the high-profile advisory board, was an active member of the leadership team, and led the development team responsible for annual fundraising revenues of more than $7 million each year.

After six years at Teach For America-Phoenix, Christina joined the Girl Scouts-Arizona Cactus-Pine Council (GSACPC) in 2014. She served as Deputy Director for three years with oversight of the programmatic operations (including girl program, product program, and camp), fund development, marketing, and the overall strategic direction of the Council. Integral in growing GSACPC’s annual fund from $600,000 in 2014 to $4 million in 2021, Christina served on the successful Campaign for Girls capital campaign that resulted in the building of the Parsons Leadership Center for Girls and Women, founded Badge Bash, and led the Day of the Girl, raising $1 million for GSACPC in a day. She also helped lead the organization amid the height of COVID-19, exceeding cookie sales goals annually.

In 2009, Christina founded CAMEO, a women’s mentorship organization, and she served as a Flinn Foundation Flinn-Brown cohort. She also serves on the Young & Empowered Women Board. In 2022, she was honored among the Phoenix Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.

In his role, Josh leverages many years of prior development and government relations experience with the organization to strengthen relationships with elected officials, local businesses, and other community leaders to promote BGCAZ's mission and raise funds to support its critical out-of-school-time programs.

Before joining BGCAZ's administrative team in 2016, Josh worked directly with Club youth and families as the Unit Director at one of BGCAZ's 31 Valley-wide locations. As a community volunteer, Josh has served on a number of boards of directors for local organizations.

An alumnus of Arizona State University, Josh resides in Phoenix with his wife and two sons.

Prior to her work with the Maricopa County parks department, Jennifer was an interpretive ranger with the National Park Service at the Glen Canyon Recreation Area.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Education in Parks, Recreation and Leisure studies from the University of Memphis.

Throughout the last 24 years, Marty has held a series of progressively responsible leadership positions across multiple City departments, most recently serving as an Assistant Director in the Parks and Recreation Department, where he manages one of the largest municipal parks and recreation systems in the nation.

His extensive experience includes serving as Deputy Director in the Public Works Department, a Management Services Administrator with the Phoenix Public Library, a Special Projects Administrator in the City Manager’s Office, and holding various positions at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Marty also served two Phoenix City Council offices, supporting important community initiatives.

In January 2026, Marty was named Interim Director of the Parks and Recreation Department. Marty holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Tourism Management, both from Arizona State University.

In this position, she oversees various facets of sports management, directing initiatives that foster athletic development and enhance the overall student-athlete experience. Tara's career at Arizona State has seen her rise through the ranks, starting as a Program Coordinator and advancing to Assistant Director before assuming her current role. Her passion for sports and fitness management is clearly evident in her steadfast commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and athletic excellence.

Throughout her tenure at Arizona State University, Tara has taken on numerous responsibilities, including coordinating sports programs, overseeing operational management, and implementing strategic initiatives designed to improve facility usage and athlete performance.

Her adeptness at navigating the complexities of sports administration has allowed her to play a vital role in nurturing the next generation of athletes and sports professionals.

Legg’s teaching and research is informed by his previous work experience in municipal parks and recreation, as well as his volunteer experience with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and the founding of his own non-profit organization (Tennis on the Hill). He is also currently a national council chair for the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

She has authored books on sustainability, highlighting case studies that address environmental and societal issues, such as “Sustainable Tourism & the Millennium Development Goals: Effecting Positive Change,” and adventure education in “Adventure Programing and Travel for the 21st Century.” She serves the boards of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, Travel Unity, and Tourism and Protected Area Specialists Group of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Her research program is distinguished by a transnational and multicultural perspective shaped by lived, educational, and professional experiences across India, East and West Africa, and the United States.

Rather than treating these contexts as discrete, Dr. Budruk advances integrative and comparative approaches that examine how nature is perceived, valued, and managed. Her work expands dominant paradigms in parks, tourism, and conservation by elevating underrepresented perspectives and advancing culturally grounded, inclusive frameworks.

He also serves as director of community relations for the College of Public Service and Community Solutions. Larsen is a well-recognized local, state and national leader in public park and recreation professional associations as well as a noted author, leader and community engagement specialist.

His expertise lies in environmental interpretation—the art and science of effective communication through guiding, signage, exhibits, and multimedia at protected areas and tourism destinations.

Chris is passionate about the role of recreation and tourism as noble professions that contribute to environmental protection, human health, and happiness.

She holds a PhD in Forestry from the University of British Columbia and was previously a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at McGill University. Her research focuses on topics of justice, care, governance, and management of urban forests and green spaces.

This has included work on green gentrification and managing and governing cemeteries as urban green spaces. The overall aim of her research is to ensure cities have green spaces that support collective human flourishing.
