Woojin Lee is interested in the persuasive design of online tourism websites and the mental imagery or sensory experience through multimedia and social media.
Among her recent awards, Lee received the Best Research Paper by the Academy of Global Hospitality and Tourism Journal in 2016 for Attendees’ attitudes and intentions to participate in environmental sustainability practices in tradeshows and Outstanding Paper by the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology for Exploring the behavioral aspects of adopting technology: Meeting planners' use of social network media and the impact of perceived critical mass in 2014.
Lee holds a Ph.D. in recreation, park and tourism sciences from Texas A&M University, an M.S. in hotel administration from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a B.S. in French language and literature from Duck-sung Women's University.
