ASU takes three ASTRA awards

ASU's School of Community Resources and Development had several winners at the Arizona State Therapeutic Recreation Association (ASTRA) conference held May 1.

Kelly Ramella, associate instructional professional received the Outstanding Professional Award. Breanna Bean, a recreation therapy student, won the Student Recognition Award. Alicia Gonzales, an ASU alumna, won the Recreation Therapist of the Year Award.

ASTRA was founded in 1989. It is a chapter affiliate of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association, the largest national membership organization representing the interests of therapeutic recreation specialists.
